A versatile, high-efficiency replacement for incandescent lamps, Shat-R-Shield CFLs offer superior performance, longer life, high quality light, compact design and safety from the fear of broken glass.
Shat-R-Shield compact fluorescent lamps offer many advantages over incandescent lighting, including 10 times longer life and 90% less heat output. Today's technology enables CFLs to use up to 75% less energy than a standard incandescent bulb and last longer. This means that over the life of one CFL, you can avoid replacing up to 13 incandescent bulbs. Highly efficient CFLs enable you to save over $25.00 in energy costs over the life of each CFL that replaces an incandescent bulb.* For example, a 13-watt CFL has the approximate lumen equivalence of a 60-watt incandescent, saving 47 watts of energy (See attached chart for more comparisons).
